ShinyZata was the alt account of ShinyMegaGardevoir. I reported them multiple times, for both cheating and alting, but they never got banned. They created a 'MostHeartedFeedInPH' giveaway, saying they had an exam in 90 days and had to study, but they promoted the giveaway every few days, and were quite active. You could get additional entries by sharing the hashtag daily. There were multiple pages of hashtags, and they got someone else to count entries. It seemed a bit like a scam, but they did give out the prizes. They later created a raffle, which they didn't end/refund tickets. This was near the time they got banned, so it likely was for this reason, not alting.

I used to get a few mentoring requests with inappropriate usernames every week. I have to report it, and then it takes a while for a moderator to remove it. A filter for inappropriate words when creating/changing a username, and forum posts/feeds, would get rid of this issue completely.
 

For some reason, PH is targeted by many spam bots, who post random stuff in the forums. I honestly don't understand why, as most of the time the posts don't even make sense (or are in a foreign language). There likely isn't any spam protection either.
 

There have been a few cases of troll users spamming the GTS with pages of trades. A trade limit has recently been implemented, but it took quite a bit of time for that to happen.

 

Price check is misleading. It has outdated prices, but for some reason is still a pinned thread. Stonks (market insider) exists, but is hidden, and can be difficult to use. Directly linking it in the GTS page, as well as having instructions on how to use it would allow users to know the value of items/Pokémon, which would make trades fairer, and reduce victims of scammers. It would also mean there are less repetitive questions on the value of something. It could instead be solely used to discuss prices of rare Pokémon, such as shiny megas and legends, or high IV Pokémon.

"There are SO many things I wish I could suggest and change. More meetings being #1 - not nearly enough. When we do have meetings it is rushed through and  you feel like crap for bringing things up. Being spread all over Europe and the couple of us in the US the time zones really interfere with scheduling when everyone is awake and thinking.

SO many suggestions just get ignored and the ones that would make a wonderful impact seem to conveniently disappear or never approved for a community vote.

Mods are all volunteers. Whenever I'm online it seems I can't even be a regular player and people expect me to be in mod mode every moment I'm on site and some days I just don't come on because I get inundated with PP/PMs. People expect us to see EVERY post every person posts or else we are ignore the issues.... People claim we can read their PM/PPs but we can't unless they are reported.

Users/incidents:
There were a group of users with the name ___Piemon, many of them with the same avatar. It was quite annoying and confusing.
 

GoldieBear was a user who would post many feeds in a single day, at least 5 of them always making it to trending. It was irritating for a lot of users, and I believe many blocked Goldie over it. (Though that was useless, as blocking doesn't hide feeds)

RixTheTyrunt created a suspicious "lottery" that scraped your forum posts in order to enter you. Jacharias even got involved, but it isn't clear what happened after, as the lottery was never closed/ended. Later, Rix attempted to host a chatbot on their own account. Riako had to tell them that bots of any kind are not allowed.

PokemonStore was a user who would sell extremely overpriced Pokémon. They advertised quite a lot, and also asked if someone wanted to be their 'business partner'. The whole thing felt like a weird scam. They later changed their username, and said they were quitting PH to create an app. They came back, and started posting links to videos from their YouTube Shorts channel.

PidgeyEvent/Zathis was a whale. They bought thousands of nuggets, and gave a lot away. They were also close "friends" with Riako, and had him friended on Facebook.

SonicEXE was a user who complained a lot. They posted things like "#riakoisascammer #solareeveescam #bringbackwondercards", as well as multiple unreasonable complaints.

Ninjabro and Flapple were "brothers" who had a reputation to palpad users, asking if they were selling items/Pokémon. They always lowball offered.

Scare_Crow was banned during October 2021 (for a reason I cannot remember), and there was a hashtag created to petition to unban them. This eventually led to -Kyle straight out arguing with Riako. I respect that, and do agree with some of the thing he said, to a degree, but the communication could've been better. This was the first drama that I witnessed on PH, but I didn't really get involved with further drama until I was temp-banned.

There was a "Bob" giveaway, in which users had to share a large ASCII art skeleton in order to enter. It was extremely annoying, as it clogged up notifications. I ended up creating a rival giveaway where users must not have shared Bob, and only had to like the feed to enter. That did reduce the number of Bob feeds shared. There were also Aragon'sBob and Bob'sPikachu giveaways, which I also created giveaways to oppose.
